The 2008 Southern California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education will be held at the University of California, Irvine on Saturday, April 5, 2008.

The Forum is the largest minority-oriented graduate and professional school fair in the United States. Students will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the nation's leading graduate schools offering Master's and Ph.D. degrees and to attend workshops and panel sessions. More than 100 leading graduate institutions and over 150 representatives have already reserved tables for the event.

The Forum is an all-day program designed to acquaint students from underrepresented groups with the career opportunities and academic challenges associated with advanced study in a wide range of disciplines. Forum workshops will provide information about selecting the right graduate program; the graduate application process; financial aid opportunities; preparing for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and employment prospects.

Transportation, lunch and the Forum itself are FREE! However, a deposit of $20.00 (refundable for those attending) is requested to reserve a place on the bus. Details on time and place of departure will be sent to students who register and submit their $20 deposit. Also, as an added bonus for attending and completing the overall event evaluation, you will be given a coupon which will allow you to access the free on-line GRE Prep course (approximately a $500 value). For those taking the bus, the last day to submit your $20 deposit is Friday, March 28, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.
