Dr. Kamusikiri received her undergraduate degree in English from UC, Riverside. She went on to complete her master's in English from the University of Iowa and then her Ph.D. in English from UC, Riverside. She then came to CSUSB in 1983 starting as a part-time instructor in SOC 306. She became a full-time instructor in 1985 and was then tenured in 1990. In 1997 she became the chair of the English Department. Then in 1999 she stepped into the role of Associate Vice President for Assessment and Planning and Dean of Graduate Studies.
