Instructionally Related Programs offers the Student Research and Travel Fund
The CSUSB Student Research and Travel (SRT) Program is a campus-wide grants program that encourages and supports undergraduate and graduate students to work with a faculty mentor on a research or other creative project. Students who engage in research learn through inquiry and experience with an intensity and depth not likely encountered in the classroom. The SRT Program is funded by Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) and Instructionally Related Programs (IRP), and administered by the Office of Graduate Studies. Information for students applying for research and travel funds from the SRT fund: ASI and IRP has made funding available to support research and travel related to academic growth and development. Applicants must submit an original and eight copies of the entire application and supporting documentation, for a total of nine application packets. These guidelines are not to be interpreted as policies. This list reflects the criteria used by the committee in the past to divide limited funding among large numbers of qualified student requests. If a student feels justified in requesting funds for expenses typically not funded by the committee, the student's argument for funding should be presented and defended in the proposal.
The application to be turned into the committee begins on page 1 (shown on the bottom center of each application page). The application is to remain in that order. Deviation from this format makes the application incomplete and in turn will not be submitted to the committee for review.
